Introduction

My name is Whitney and I am from San Diego, CA. I'm majoring in Child Development and minoring in Psychology. I want to work with at-risk children at some point during my career. I come from a dysfunctional family and the experiences I had growing up in my family influenced my career path. Children can't choose the families that they are born into, but they can learn ways to deal with the situations that they are put in to.

I started this blog because I am taking a Family Relations class and need a place to record my thoughts, connections, stories and whatever else I feel the need to share. This class will give an overview of family development across the lifespan.
